I am thrilled to educate you all on one of my favorite oils on the market – Cedarwood!
When I first began my journey with essential oils, I was given advice on the top 3 oils – Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint. We were encouraged to use lavender as an oil to soothe and calm a restless baby – because we all know that lavender is the ‘relax’ oil – except for Simon it landed up doing the opposite. We would diffuse and use it topically on him, but it consistently left him restless and up at night. This is when I researched and found Cedarwood and the grounding effects it has on our restful nights!
Known for its rich hue and warm, woody scent, Cedarwood essential oil provides a myriad of bene ts that date back to biblical times. Cedarwood is native to cold climates, thriving in high altitudes and growing up to 100 feet. Cedarwood has a grounding aroma that evokes feelings of wellness and vitality. When applied topically, Cedarwood promotes clear, healthy skin. Additionally, Cedarwood is frequently used in massage therapy.
We choose to diffuse this oil. You can use it topically, however just be careful if you’re pregnant or nursing because your body can be a bit sensitive to the oil.
If you have any questions about the oil – shoot me a message! I’d love to hear from you!
